Opportunity with CMW Geosciences in Victoria
As a result of strategic growth plans we are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead our Victorian teams in reaching their potential. You will have a solid and indepth understanding of the Victorian market as well as great leadership skills.
Duties will include:
- Managing a team across our three Victorian locations (Melbourne Sunshine & Bendigo)
- Working openly to promote collaboration and effective communication leading by example.
- Managing client communications and those from external stakeholders
- Demonstrating the drive and confidence to tackle difficult situations headon with tact and fortitude.
- Leading and displaying critical thinking sound decision making personal accountability resilience empathy and integrity whilst underpinning team spirit
- Working with Team Leaders and functional teams to source recruit and retain motivated technical staff in addition to supporting the Office Managers with sourcing recruitment and retention of staff.
- Actively promoting and encouraging safety in design thinking and procedures. Monitoring safe practices and maintaining workplace health and safety as a company core value
- Analysing financial data and market trends to support strategic decisions that drive growth and improve financial performance.
- Collaborating with the Business Development team to develop revenue forecasts and growth strategies.
- Carrying out commercial reviews and other duties as required.
To be considered we are looking for the following:
- Qualified Civil Engineer or equivalent with 10 years of experience in a similar role working in an engineering consultancy.
- Proven record in successfully developing leading and growing team(s) across a specific territory.
- A solid understanding of the Victorian market and a track record in winning work.
- Strong business acumen and experience in managing P&L responsibilities.
- Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills.
- Strong organisation skills with high attention to detail is a must.
- Be available to travel as across Victoria or other regions as required.
