Job Description

Strategy & Operations Execution

  • Execute a strategy & operations plans that deliver on product Market Share Deliverables in line with approved category strategic & annual share plans in place
  • Execution Sales Plans By Channel By SKU By Store, Driven & Supported By The following:
  • Category Product Architecture (Product Catalogue) By Channel, By Geographical Area by Store in line with Sortimeter + Quartile Approach.
  • Category Product Display Planogram by Channel, By Geographical Area by Store in line with Sortimeter + Quartile Approach + Supplier Got to Market & Product Life Cycle
  • Category Product Pricing Architecture by Channel
  • Concluding a Solid Category Product Promotional Calendar by Channel in coordination with Supplier & B.TECH promotional calendar
  • Run Product Knowledge & Floor Go To Market by Channel & Ensure On Ground & Channel Execution & Efficient Communication & Engagement on (Planogram & Display Refreshment & Product Life Cycle / Promotions & Prices Execution & Contests)

Sourcing & Procurement Strategy

  • Execute sourcing & procurement strategy, through leading efficient negotiations with suppliers & secure annual solid contracts in place that delivers on:
  • Ensure product availability (right place, right quantity, and right quality at the right time) in line with the following tools (Sortimeter + Quartile Strategy + Inventory Quality-Rebo)
  • Ensure product stock levels that deliver on overall agreed inventory coverage across total system in line with “Rebo” module.
  • Ensure efficient product rotation in coordination with suppliers across total system & across sellable products & damaged products & different WH (WH 64 + Main WH)
  • Ensure Category GP Healthy growth deliverables through negotiating margins in line with approved strategic & annual GP’s in place & full collection of supplier rebates & claims
  • Ensure development & efficient execution of a customer driven contacts with key suppliers that delivers on obtaining lowest total system cost, best service level parameters on delivery & payment & continuous supplier performance tracking (Full Vendor Management).

Business Strategy Setting and Plan Development

  • Co-Lead team in defining a strategy for a sustainable and profitable business for the Category Portfolio
  • Co-Lead team in the preparation, communication and execution of the market specific Annual Operation Plan, including financial framework, Best Practice Tool implementation and sustainment, initiative calendar and people capability
  • Tracks overall product business performance against strategy and adjusts plans/investment as necessary
  • Institute Trimester Planning and Review process

Develops Operating Capability

  • Enable the team to implement and sustain Best Practice Tools (e.g. Products architecture, pricing architecture. etc.) that enables them to achieve the AOP targets
  • Work with heads to identify capability gaps and agree on actions plans
  • Partner with Functional Resources to define priority opportunities, access resources, and share learnings on initiatives implementation
  • Flex and allocate the operation resources according to needs
  • Conduct regular market and operating facilities visits with direct reports to coach on continually raising performance standards and recognizing good front line execution

Team Coaching

  • Clarify roles, set performance standards and goals, and coach direct reports around the core work
  • Role models and drives HR processes and tools to ensure value is delivered up through front-line i.e., appraisals, development plans
  • Leads the creation of a positive, productive and rewarding work environment that attracts and retains quality employees
  • Develop organization development plan including: The recruitment, development, training, promotion and transfer and termination of personnel
  • Develop communication system to ensure that the team is fully informed of business plans, activities, company performance etc…
  • Conduct regular category management team meetings and other activities to ensure that the category team are equipped with the information, are motivated and empowered to deliver their business objectives
