Job Description:
Our client, a global leading supplier of equipment and technical solutions for the mining and construction industries, is seeking a Business Analyst, who will play a vital role in monitoring, measuring, and analysing business activities and operating results from both a financial and operational perspective for Southern Africa
Responsibilities:
- Identifying improvement areas and implementing appropriate action plans which align to business objectives, with a focus on containing costs and enhancing profitability.
- Analyses financial data and extracts and defines relevant information; interprets data for the purpose to determining past financial performance and/or project a financial
- Enhance and develop FP&A reporting dashboards and
- Provide finance support, including forecasting, budgeting, and analysing variations from budget and
- Interpret financial transactions and events for users who will make economic or business
- Perform general accounting activities, including preparation/maintenance/reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements ( balance sheet, profit-and-loss statements, capital expenditure schedules).

- Process and ensure accuracy of all books of account including general ledger, debtors, creditors, inventory and fixed
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- Grade 12 / Equivalent qualification
- BCOM Honours Degree in Finance CIMA (ACMA status)
- 5+ years post-qualification experience in a financial management environment with strong analytical capabilities, ability to work as a team, good leadership & communication skills, attention to detail, efficiency, and ability to work under pressure with speed and
- Experience in managing inventory systems, budgets, and forecasts
- Business, commercial, and financial acumen – Understands industry and business trends, business models, challenges, opportunities, and processes and how they impact on financial, customer, people and business performance and
- The ability to understand the strategic framework of any business process needs to be combined with good project management skills, as well as communication, interpersonal and organisational
- Advanced Computer
- Requires strong leadership ability, both at team and organisational
- A strong business systems/process improvement
- Previous mining industry experience
