DevOps Engineer

• Own manage and maintain the Azure Kubernetes service and Azure Databricks environments hosting credit and swaps FO IT microservices as well as the data lake platform
  
• Manage and maintain the lifecycle of the core application suite that provides common capabilities such as continuous deployment observability and Kafka streaming
  
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to provide and manage the infrastructural resources required by FO IT development teams in the Azure cloud
  
• Establish deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build test and deployment processes
  
• Investigate and resolve issues related to the application infrastructure continuous integration and deployment pipelines
  
• Identify areas that can benefit from automation and automate processes wherever possible
  
• Design and develop application health dashboards and alert and notification delivery systems to help with the observability of the application stack in Azure cloud
  
• Collaborate with the development testing and operations teams to gather understand and analyse functional requirements. Evaluate technologies for research and proof of concept as well as implement solutions that meet these requirements
  
• Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies participate in annual DR testing and assist with executing the DR testing plan
  
• Develop and utilise costtracking tools and methodologies to provide transparent and accurate financial reporting for all projects. Identify areas of cloud spend optimisation to reduce wastage and costs
  
• Create and maintain documentation related to infrastructure and deployment processes. Transfer knowledge among team members to eliminate any manual dependencies
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s or master s degree in computer science or related field
  
• 34 years of experience in a DevOps role preferably in investment banking
  
• Experience in managing and working in Kubernetes environments and managing observability tools
  
• Strong knowledge of the containerisation and orchestration of microservices
  
• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service Azure Storage Azure Redis and other Azure cloudrelated technologies
  
• Proficiency using Docker/Podman Helm ArgoCD GitOps and Terraform
  
• Experience using Prometheus Grafana Loki Tempo Grafana Agent and Azure Monitor logging and observability tools
  
• Skilled using Bamboo CI/CD tools Bitbucket and GIT
  
• Knowledge of automation scripting (Bash PowerShell and Python)
  
• Ability to demonstrate a high level of professionalism selfmotivation and a desire for selfimprovement
  
• Ability to plan schedule and manage a demanding workload
