Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Manager Cultural & Religious Compliance to lead cultural and Islamic compliance within our PMO/ PMC. The successful candidate will develop implement and oversee policies and practices that ensure all project activities respect Islamic principles and Saudi cultural norms. This role requires close collaboration with project leadership contractors third-party vendors government relations and community stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of cultural and religious compliance strategies policies and procedures across project portfolios.
- Provide expert guidance on Islamic compliance matters to project teams contractors and third-party partners.
- Review project plans work practices and contractor activities to ensure alignment with Islamic principles and local cultural norms; recommend and monitor corrective actions where necessary.
- Manage approvals and clearances related to cultural and religious matters with internal stakeholders and external authorities.
- Oversee third-party engagement and ensure contractors and vendors adhere to cultural and religious requirements.
- Design and deliver awareness and training programs for employees and contractors on cultural sensitivity Islamic practices relevant to the workplace and compliance expectations.
- Serve as primary liaison with community leaders religious authorities and government entities on cultural and religious matters.
- Monitor compliance performance prepare reports and advise senior management on risks incidents and mitigation measures.
- Support the PMO / PMC in integrating cultural and religious requirements into project governance procurement and contract management processes.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Islamic Studies Cultural Studies Social Sciences Law Business Administration or similar).
- Minimum 12 years experience working in the construction industry preferably within a PMO / PMC environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing third-party involvement and ensuring contractor compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of cultural and Islamic compliance requirements applicable in KSA.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
- Strong interpersonal communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver training and awareness programs.
- Professionalism discretion and experience handling sensitive cultural and religious issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree or certifications in Islamic studies compliance or related fields.
- Prior experience liaising with religious authorities community leaders or government relations teams.
- Familiarity with Saudi regulations and protocols related to cultural and religious practices in the workplace.
