On behalf of our client we are seeking a qualified IT Specialist to support maintain and enhance the organizations IT infrastructure systems and end-user technology.
Overview of the Position
The role ensures reliable secure and efficient IT operations while providing timely technical support to users and contributing to continuous improvement of IT services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-level technical support to users for hardware software network and system-related issues.
- Install configure maintain and troubleshoot desktops laptops printers mobile devices and peripheral equipment.
- Manage user accounts access rights and permissions across systems and applications.
- Support and maintain servers networks (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi) and cloud-based systems to ensure high availability and performance.
- Monitor system performance backups and security logs and take corrective action where required.
- Assist with system upgrades patches and new technology implementations.
- Implement and enforce IT security policies procedures and best practices.
- Support endpoint security antivirus management firewalls and data protection controls.
- Assist with incident response system recovery and disaster recovery activities.
- Support business applications (e.g. ERP HR systems finance systems email platforms).
- Liaise with vendors and service providers for system support licensing and maintenance.
- Document system configurations procedures and user guides.
- Ensure IT operations comply with internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency user experience and cost optimization.
- Support IT audits and asset management including hardware and software inventories.
- Perform any other IT-related duties assigned by management to support business operations.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in a similar IT support or systems role.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Windows and/or Linux operating systems
- Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP DNS DHCP VPNs)
- Hardware troubleshooting and system administration
- Experience with cloud platforms and ERP/business systems is an added advantage.
