Job Title: Piping Senior Engineer
Job Overview
The Piping Senior Engineer will be responsible for leading piping engineering activities across design analysis and execution phases of large-scale industrial projects. The role involves ensuring compliance with international codes and standards coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and providing technical leadership from concept design through construction and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Lead piping design and engineering activities for onshore/offshore industrial projects.
Develop and review piping layouts P&IDs isometrics piping plans and material take-offs (MTOs).
Ensure compliance with international codes and standards such as ASME ANSI API ISO and Saudi Aramco standards.
Perform piping stress analysis using tools like CAESAR II and review stress reports.
Coordinate with process mechanical civil structural electrical and instrumentation teams to ensure integrated design.
Review and approve vendor documents datasheets material specifications and technical queries.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
Participate in design reviews HAZOP model reviews and constructability assessments.
Support procurement fabrication erection testing and commissioning activities.
Conduct site visits resolve construction issues and support project execution teams.
Ensure adherence to project schedules quality standards and safety requirements.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters degree is an advantage).
Minimum 812 years of relevant experience in piping engineering for industrial projects.
Prior experience working in Saudi Arabia or GCC countries is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of piping design principles materials and fabrication standards.
Technical Skills Required
Proficiency in PDMS / E3D / SP3D / AutoCAD.
Hands-on experience with CAESAR II for piping stress analysis.
Strong understanding of piping materials specifications valves fittings and supports.
Familiarity with Saudi Aramco SABIC and other regional client standards.
Ability to review 3D models isometrics and stress analysis outputs.
