Job Description Summary
The Product Quality Engineer (PQE) is responsible for driving process & product quality by reducing defects within repair processes. Successful candidates will partner with cross functional teams to build quality into each step of the repair. Process Quality Engineer will develop Quality Management System expertise to support the leadership in maintaining compliance and striving for excellence through continuous improvement activities.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Drive a zero defect culture with Quality sustaining operations compliance to regulatory & non-regulatory requirements.
- Lead and drive continuous improvement activities proactively building in quality to repair processes and procedures to ensure repair and detection methods are robust.
- Drive and lead problem solving activities deploying corrective and preventative actions to reduce defects and eliminate reoccurring quality defects.
- Daily support to the operations team to ensure compliance repair methods and to Quality Management System procedures.
- Drive resolution of actions relating to non-conformance reports Stop Works Events and Quality Concerns.
- Lead implementation and execution of BiQ practices
- Lead defect reduction projects and working inclusively with Operations and Engineering to resolve shop floor quality issues promptly.
- Championing quality initiatives and CoPQ reduction projects in the cell. Conducting assigned internal audits to ensure compliance to local procedures
- Support training activities for all employees relating to quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college(preferably in Engineering Industrial Mechanical or Electrical or related technical engineering background);ORa high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing industrial or similar industry Saudi Council of Engineer qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in QC
- Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing quality experience in a similar industry
- Must be legally authorized to work in the KSA
- This position is 100% onsite at GESAT Eastern Province KSA
- Prior experience in a Quality Management System/QMS (IE: ISO 9001 requirements)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- BiQ knowledge and experience
