Open Call for Technical Consultants: Water Energy Food or Environment sectors in Jordan
Winrock International is seeking qualified consultants based in Jordan to support activities under an anticipated GIZ-funded initiative focused on supporting the government of Jordan in advancing integrated Water-Energy-Food-Environment (WEFE) nexus governance by aligning sectoral strategies developing integrated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) establishing robust Reporting Monitoring Evaluation and Learning(R-MEAL) systems building digital decision support tools and advancing capacity-building across institutions. Consultants will provide technical support in areas such as stakeholder engagement green economy coordination private sector mobilization and institutional capacity strengthening.
The project implemented in partnership with GIZ aims to strengthen the enabling environment for integrated and sustainable resource governance in Jordan by supporting government efforts to embed WEFE Nexus principles into national planning and decision-making processes. The initiative focuses on strategic policy alignment and enhancing cross-ministerial coordination to promote sustainable development in line with Jordans Economic Modernization Vision.
In addition the project emphasizes capacity development for key institutions and stakeholders helping to strengthen integrated governance of water energy food and environmental resources. Activities include technical advisory support development of digital coordination tools and digital support tools and facilitation of multi-stakeholder facilitation across government private sector and civil society to ensure inclusive evidence-based and locally driven approaches to sustainable resource management.
Experience required:
Professional experience in Water Energy Food or Environment sectors in Jordan
Significant experience in Jordan is required.
