Job Summary
On behalf of our client we are seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Transport Officer to manage and oversee transportation operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day transportation operations within the logistics company. This includes managing fleet operations scheduling deliveries ensuring compliance with transport regulations and optimizing transport efficiency.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Plan coordinate and monitor day-to-day transport and fleet operations.
- Schedule and track deliveries to ensure timely and efficient dispatch and receipt.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance driver performance and transport documentation.
- Ensure all transport activities comply with company policies and government regulations.
- Supervise drivers and ensure adherence to safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Prepare periodic reports and provide insights on fleet performance and transport efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor s degree or diploma in Logistics Supply Chain Management Transport Management Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within the transport or logistics sector.
- Strong understanding of Tanzanian transport laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook etc.).
