This is a remote position.
As a founding member of our AI team you will lead the charge in building the next generation of intelligent health services at Karaz. Your primary mission will be to design build and deploy sophisticated AI agents and systems powered by Large Language Models (LLMs). This role requires a unique blend of hands-on engineering deep technical knowledge and a strong research mindset. You will not only implement solutions but also research and evaluate the latest AI models to solve complex challenges in the HealthTech space directly contributing to products that improve peoples lives.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an AI/ML Engineer with a focus on Natural Language Processing and Generative AI.
- Deep understanding of LLM architecture including transformers and attention mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience building solutions with LLM frameworks (e.g. LangChain LlamaIndex) and foundational models (e.g. GPT series Llama Mistral).
- Demonstrable experience in fine-tuning open-source LLMs for specific tasks.
- Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency with core ML libraries (PyTorch TensorFlow Hugging Face).
- Experience deploying ML models to production in a cloud environment (AWS SageMaker GCP Vertex AI or similar).
- Familiarity with creating RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines and working with vector databases (e.g. Pinecone Chroma).
- Bonus: A Masters degree PhD or publications in a relevant AI field.
- Bonus: Experience working with healthcare data and an understanding of its unique privacy and compliance challenges.
