We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Spheres Specialist to oversee the design fabrication and construction of high-pressure gas storage spheres. This role requires extensive experience with spherical storage tanks—similar in scale and complexity to crude tank farms but specifically engineered for gas containment. Candidates with a background working on projects with companies like CB&I or similar EPC contractors will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end construction process of high-pressure gas storage spheres.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings specifications and technical documents related to spherical tank structures.
- Supervise site activities ensuring compliance with safety quality and construction standards.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders including clients subcontractors and internal teams.
- Ensure adherence to international codes and standards such as ASME API and other relevant pressure vessel construction regulations.
- Monitor progress and resolve technical or operational challenges on-site.
- Conduct inspections and quality control checks throughout fabrication erection and commissioning stages.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction of high-pressure gas spheres or similar pressure vessel projects.
- In-depth knowledge of ASME standards API codes and high-pressure vessel fabrication techniques.
- Proven track record managing large-scale spherical tank or pressure vessel construction projects.
- Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations applicable to gas storage construction.
- Strong leadership organizational and communication skills.
- Experience working in GCC or international oil & gas projects is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with American EPC contractors like CB&I or similar.
- Certification in welding inspection pressure vessel inspection or project management (e.g. PMP) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of modern construction methods heavy lifting techniques and NDT processes.
