Job Description
GR2 is accepting applications for a Part-time to On-callConstruction Supervisor at our Jacksonville FL office.
This role is ideal for an experienced environmental construction professional who thrives in the field enjoys leading teams and is driven by safe successful project execution.

What We Are Looking For:
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in environmental construction projects. Additionally proficient in heavy equipment operations operations and maintenance of remedial systems HVAC and a variety of machine equipment. Strong problem-solving abilities and proven experience mentoring junior field technicians.
This position requires heavy lifting and manual labor in extreme conditions (heat and cold). The successful applicant needs to be able to complete the required training work a variable shift (non-standard hours weekends and holidays) and travel extensively.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Prepare proposals cost estimates and work plans for environmental construction and remediation projects.
- Establish subcontractor pricing and secure competitive bids.
- Coordinate and execute construction projects including:
- Timeline creation.
- Schedule management.
- Procurement of materials.
- Site planning.
- Supervise and mentor junior field technicians with a focus on training technical development and job site safety.
- Enforce OSHA construction safety standards and ensure all personnel and subcontractors are using proper PPE.
- Conduct toolbox talks identify site hazards and promote a proactive safety culture.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating equipment (blue top finish grade operator strongly preferred).
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to travel and work in demanding physical environments.
Preferred:
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (current 8-hour refreshers also preferred).
- Experience with OSHA construction safety compliance hazard assessments and field safety briefings.
