Job Summary:
The M&E Technician should be responsible for the reliable operation and maintenance of the physical plant sewerage treatment plant steam boilers calorifiers gensets and other plant equipment and machineries of the hotel. He shall conduct regular testing and inspection of hotel electrical and Mechanical Systems to ensure that they are Operating in accordance with the acceptable engineering standards to achieve optimum operating efficiency.
As a M&E Technician we rely on you to
- Acts as leadsman in major repairs on pumps generators boilers RO plant STP fuel network water bottling plant STP main pump station etc.
- Makes list of materials needed for the repair and reports to the Section head on work to be done.
- Assists the Department Secretary on spare parts request for par stocking by checking stock of spare tools parts and materials on a monthly basis and informing the Department Secretary on low stock.
- Makes sure that welding and other works conform to engineering standards.
- Updates preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment as required by the Director of Engineering.
- Makes sure that all repair works done in the machinery are recorded in his logbook and equipment record card.
- Carries out all work specified in work order forms quickly accurately skillfully economically efficiently and completely.
- Makes sure that his work area is always clean and orderly.
- When in doubt consult the Section Head or Director of Engineering.
- Renders overtime or changes time schedules as the situation may require without delay.
- Performs other tasks as may be assigned by the Director of Engineering.
