Assistant Professor Mental Health/Psychiatric Nursing
Job Description:
The successful candidate will possess a strong background in mental health and psychiatric nursing as well as a passion for teaching and research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in mental health and psychiatric nursing utilizing innovative teaching methods and incorporating current industry practices and research.
- Mentor and advise students providing guidance and support in their academic and professional development.
- Conduct research in mental health and psychiatric nursing publishing in reputable academic journals and presenting at conferences.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and revise curriculum ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
- Participate in departmental and university committees and initiatives contributing to the institutions academic and research goals.
- Engage in professional development activities to enhance teaching and research skills.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Nursing with a specialization in mental health or psychiatric nursing.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the university level.
- Active involvement in research with a record of publications and presentations in mental health/psychiatric nursing.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Saudi Arabia.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students.
- Fluency in English both written and spoken.
