Veterinary Assistant Crossville TN
Full-Time Rotating On-Call Weekends Privately Owned Practice
Do you love animals and want to make a real difference in their lives Plateau Animal Hospital in Crossville is looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Assistant to join our busy community-centered practice. We offer a supportive team structured training and a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
After training youll be responsible for:
- Safely restraining pets during exams and treatments
- Ensuring kennels are clean and comfortable
- Preparing medications with accuracy
- Updating patient records in the electronic medical system
- Assisting with curbside service and client communications
- Supporting doctors and technicians in delivering excellent patient care
Qualifications
- 2 years of customer service experience (in-person & phone preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems
- Positive attitude and team-focused mindset
Veterinary experience is a plus but not required training will be provided for the right candidate with a passion for animal care!
Schedule
Full-Time
Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM- Rotating on-call weekend shifts for emergency cases
