Duties & Responsibilities
- Sells registers and assigns rooms to incoming guests ensuring that registration cards are properly filled out; checksout departing gusts by taking out slips from room rack and crossing out names in the alphabetical rack.
- Informs other departments and outlets of arrivals room changes checkouts and special arrangements.
- Maintains records of arrivals and departures in appropriate logbook.
- Prepares folios of each guest for Front Office Cashier; types discount and special rate list.
- Compares HK report on room occupancy with room rack and reports any discrepancy to superior.
- Preregisters VIP guests as per instruction of the Chief Room Clerk.
- Attends to guests complaints inquiries and requests; refers problems to Asst. Front Office Manager whenever necessary.
- Maintains proper functioning of room rack and room status system.
- Accomplishes the following :
- Room charge/note change notice;
- Arrival/departure list;
- Advance payment list;
- Blocked room list for HK;
- No show/cancellation list
- Work order for signature of Asst. Front Office Manager
- When on night shift prepares the night room report and accompanies room rack with alphabetical rack.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
