Tivoli Muscat Hotel set to open its doors in Muscat Oman seeks a dynamic and experienced People and Culture Manager to help build and shape the team during the preopening phase. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in establishing a positive workplace culture ensuring the hotels workforce is aligned with Tivolis values and standards. The role will focus on recruitment training employee engagement and creating a collaborative environment for the preopening team.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Lead and manage the recruitment process to ensure that Tivoli Muscat attracts selects and hires top talent for all hotel departments.
- Design and implement an effective onboarding program that introduces new hires to the Tivoli culture brand standards and operational expectations.
- Work closely with hiring managers to define staffing needs and ensure timely fulfillment of vacancies.
Training and Development:
- Develop and deliver training programs for new hires ensuring they are wellprepared for the opening and are aligned with Tivolis service standards.
- Facilitate induction sessions for all new employees fostering a strong understanding of the hotels mission vision and values.
- Support the leadership team with ongoing professional development programs to enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities.
Employee Engagement and Retention:
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting Tivolis core values and engaging in proactive communication with employees.
- Initiate teambuilding activities and events to foster collaboration and create a strong team spirit in the preopening phase.
- Develop and implement employee recognition programs to celebrate achievements and milestones.
Culture Development:
- Foster a highperformance culture that aligns with Tivolis vision of luxury service and excellence.
- Ensure the hotels values are integrated into all aspects of daily operations helping the team embody the culture of the hotel.
- Act as a culture ambassador guiding managers on maintaining employee morale maintaining high standards and nurturing the teams passion for hospitality.
Compliance and Employee Relations:
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws hotel policies and industry standards.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns providing timely resolution to issues and ensuring a supportive environment.
- Promote open communication channels between employees and management.
PreOpening Coordination:
- Assist in the setup of HR systems processes and administrative tasks needed for a successful hotel launch.
- Collaborate with senior management to ensure all preopening HR activities are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
- Ensure the preparation of a workforce ready to deliver exceptional service upon the hotels opening.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Hospitality Management or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a People & Culture or HR management role preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Proven experience in preopening HR projects including recruitment training and teambuilding.
- Strong understanding of HR principles labor laws and hospitality operations.
- Ability to work independently and proactively with excellent problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
- Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
