- Perform preventive maintenance troubleshooting and repairs on kitchen and laundry equipment including but not limited to ovens dishwashers refrigerators washing machines dryers and steamers.
- Inspect and diagnose faults in electrical mechanical and operated kitchen and laundry equipment.
- Replace or repair faulty parts such as motors heating elements bearings and belts.
- Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities and service reports.
Operational Efficiency & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure that all kitchen and laundry equipment operates efficiently and safely in compliance with Accor and local safety regulations.
- Conduct routine checks to prevent breakdowns and ensure proactive maintenance strategies.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for specialized repairs and procurement of spare parts.
- Follow Accors energy conservation policies by optimizing equipment performance.
Teamwork & Collaboration:
- Work closely with the kitchen and housekeeping teams to minimize disruptions during operations.
- Assist in training operational staff on proper equipment usage and basic troubleshooting.
- Support engineering department colleagues in multiskilled tasks when required.
Emergency & Breakdown Support:
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and ensure immediate corrective actions.
- Maintain a stock of essential spare parts to reduce downtime.
- Participate in afterhours oncall duty as required.
Qualifications :
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or certification in Electrical Mechanical or Refrigeration Engineering.
- Minimum 45 years of experience in kitchen and laundry equipment maintenance within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment brands (Rational Electrolux Hobart etc..
- Understanding of electrical wiring and HVAC systems related to kitchen and laundry operations.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in hotel engineering maintenance.
