Head of Marketing amp LP Relations

What we are looking for

• Marketing Expertise: Demonstrated success as a Head of Marketing or in a similar leadership role within a fastpaced startup or venture capital environment.
• Investor Relations Experience: Some experience in investor relations preferably within the VC ecosystem with a track record of contributing to successful fundraisings or managing LP relations.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with a natural knack for inspiring and motivating crossfunctional teams.
• DataDriven & Analytical Mindset: Proficiency in developing implementing and continuously assessing datadriven strategies to drive business growth and maximize the ROI of marketing programs and investments.
• Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of financial principles and metrics including budget management forecasting and identifying revenue generation opportunities through marketing efforts.

What does the job involve

• Strategic Marketing Planning: Developing and executing strategic marketing plans to position us as a thought leader among Africanbased innovative technology companies seeking investment at the preseed and seed stages.
• Brand Strategy & Public Relations: Crafting brand strategies and overseeing public relations efforts to increase brand awareness across tech companies and the global investment community.
• Digital Marketing & Content Strategy: Driving digital marketing initiatives and overseeing content strategy and development to engage target audiences effectively.
• Limited Partner Relations: Managing relationships with all limited partners on behalf of the GP and firm fostering personal connections and driving professional revenue generation within the portfolio.
• Market Research & Social Media Management: Conducting market research managing social media strategy and overseeing social media management to enhance the firms industry presence.
• Event Management & Speaking Engagements: Organizing events and managing speaking engagements to further position us as a thought leader in the industry.
• Organizational Structure & Hiring: Building and managing the marketing team ensuring the right organizational structure and hiring top talent to support marketing initiatives.
• Public Relations: Handling public relations on behalf of the firm and portfolio companies maintaining positive relationships with media and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in marketing leadership roles within startup or VC environments.
• Strong leadership data analysis and financial management skills.
• Deep understanding of the African tech and venture capital landscape.
• Relevant educational background in marketing business or related field.
• Certifications or additional qualifications relevant to marketing or investor relations are advantageous.
