Senior Specialist - Software Engineering Java POS Microservices

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design development and implementation of Javabased POS systems using microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define and implement technical solutions for complex business requirements.
• Conduct code reviews ensure code quality and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Develop and maintain scalable and highperforming microservices using Java technologies.
• Participate in architectural and design discussions to contribute to the development of robust and efficient software solutions.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Debug and troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolution to ensure smooth system operation.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends tools and technologies to continuously improve software development processes.
• Collaborate with product management and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure adherence to software development best practices and standards including coding testing and documentation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes and methodologies.
• Coordinate with quality assurance teams to ensure the delivery of highquality bugfree software products.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
• Participate in sprint planning estimation and sprint reviews ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of handson experience in software engineering with a focus on Javabased development.
• Proven expertise in developing POS systems and applications.
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing microservices using industrystandard frameworks and tools.
• Proficiency in Java Spring Boot and related technologies for building scalable microservices.
• Demonstrated experience in performance optimization and debugging of Javabased applications.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies agile practices and DevOps principles.
• Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
• Experience in leading and mentoring software development teams.
• Good understanding of cloud platforms and services for deploying microservices.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs messaging queues and database systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders.
• Experience with version control systems and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Strong analytical and decisionmaking skills with a focus on delivering highquality software solutions.
• Relevant certifications in Java microservices or related areas would be a plus.
