Overview:

The Sales Manager in the construction industry plays a crucial role in driving sales and contributing to the overall growth and success of the organization. As a key member of the sales team the Sales Manager is responsible for leading and motivating the sales team developing strategic sales plans and building strong relationships with clients and partners in the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the construction sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand the customer base
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the construction industry
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners
  • Provide guidance and support to the sales team to ensure effective client engagement
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies
  • Assess the performance of the sales team and provide coaching and training as needed
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients and partners
  • Collaborate with other departments such as marketing and operations to ensure alignment in sales activities
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to the management team
  • Stay updated on industry developments and attend relevant events and conferences
  • Ensure compliance with all sales policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the development of sales and marketing materials
  • Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of sales personnel
  • Manage and allocate sales resources effectively

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Sales Marketing or related field
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager in the construction industry
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong understanding of construction products services and processes
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Strategic thinking and problemsolving skills
  • Proficiency in CRM and sales management software
  • Sound knowledge of market trends and competitor activities in the construction industry
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and business expansion
  • Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies
  • Strong business acumen and financial management skills in a sales context
  • Professional certifications in sales or related field is a plus
