A listed manufacturing group with more than 20,000 employees worldwide is looking for a senior executive in business development to spearhead the industrial automation business.
Reporting to the senior management in business development, you will be developing a solid global clientbase for industrial automation mainly in process automation base on solid R&D, technology and manufacturing capacity support to help clients to excel their efficiencies over their competitors. You will also lead and direct the solution development and implementation based on project plans.
The Accountability:
- Formulate and drive strategy for sales and marketing including but not limited to sales negotiation, pricing, incentive, services and conditions
- Develop roadmap and pipelines of new business based on product requirement and input from the engineering team
- Work with project teams to execute project plans
- Proposed product roadmaps based on market changes
- Build up customer network and build up strong ties with them.
- Maintain a global pricing strategy based on market changes
- Resolve price situations where material cost may increase with regional exchange rates and volume consideration with customers
- Schedule and reschedule tooling construction schedules based on internal and vendor capacity
- Participate in gross margin adjustment or other concessions to secure business
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical or related Engineering disciplines
- Min 10 years of relevant experience in business development, sales or key account management
- Global customers management experience
- Engineering knowledge in either micro-motor/sensor/actuator, or application engineering knowledge in warehouse automation a definite advantage
- Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills
- Strong business acumen
- Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese
- Based in Hong Kong with frequent travels
