- Supervises and executes the plant maintenance program with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for the electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
- Monitors, controls & timely updates of the spare part inventories, maintenance supplies, equipment and initiates reordering when necessary.
- Prepares reports, analyzes data and makes recommendations for major maintenance activities, improving plant operations and solving maintenance related problems.
- Closely monitor programming, settings, calibration and accurate performance of equipment’s and systems.
- Work closely with automation engineer to maintain the PLC and SCADA controlled automation systems, identification of the required modification in the plant for instrument and control system. Ensures and adheres to safe work practices and procedures including, but not limited to, lockout/tag out and confined space rules and regulations.
- Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime
- Reads, understands and able to explain various engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, diagrams.
- Tracks, analyzes and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, etc.
- Maintain the calibrations and records for process instrumentation devices at various process lines.
- Review the technical requirements and evaluate the purchase requisitions
- . Plan, issue and complete the work orders through maintenance management software, MS Dynamics AX.
- Ensure all procedures, documentation, drawings and manuals are kept up to date.
- Communicates directly with the production / quality / ballistic / stores departments to coordinate maintenance and repair.
- Maintains QMS ISO, safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures and reviews safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety for all maintenance technicians.
- Performs other tasks and duties as allocated by a department Manager. HSE Roles and Responsibilities:
- Povide OSH information, training and supervision;
- Assist with the preparation of risk assessments
