About Progress Security Systems
Progress Security Systems is a leading provider of integrated Physical Security and ELV solutions across the Middle East. We specialize in delivering innovative security designs for Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) Data Centers Government Commercial and Enterprise projects.
We are currently seeking two highly experienced Senior Security Systems Designers to join our growing Design Team in Egypt.
Important Notice:This is a Physical Security Systems Design position. It is NOT an IT Information Security or Cyber Security role.
Key Responsibilities
- Design integrated Physical Security Systems for medium and large-scale projects.
- Prepare security system layouts schematics technical drawings BOQs and specifications.
- Produce complete design packages in accordance with international standards and client requirements.
- Design integrated solutions including CCTV Access Control Intrusion Detection PSIM and VMS platforms.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the design lifecycle.
- Participate in design reviews technical meetings and client workshops.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and international best practices.
- Support tender submissions with technical documentation and design proposals.
Experience in designing security systems for:
- Critical National Infrastructure (CNI)
- Data Centers
- Airports
- Government Facilities
- Oil & Gas
- Utilities
- Large Enterprise Security Projects
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering Telecommunications Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 58 years of experience in Physical Security Systems Design.
- Strong knowledge of international security standards and design methodologies.
- Experience using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent technical documentation and report writing skills.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken).

Candidates should have strong hands-on design experience with one or more of the following technologies:

- Integrated Physical Security Systems
- Physical Security Architecture
Required Skills:
LV Technician Requirements Qualifications: Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Electronics Telecommunications or a related field. Minimum 25 years of experience in ELV systems installation testing commissioning and maintenance. Experience in GCC/UAE projects is preferred. Technical Skills: Installation termination testing and troubleshooting of: CCTV Systems Access Control Systems (ACS) Intrusion Alarm Systems Video Intercom Systems Structured Cabling (Copper & Fiber Optic) Public Address (PA) Systems IPTV & SMATV Systems Gate Barrier & Turnstile Systems Time Attendance Systems Home Automation Systems (Preferred) Audio-Visual (AV) Systems (Preferred) Parking Management Systems (Preferred) Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings ELV shop drawings and wiring diagrams. Knowledge of cable routing containment systems cable tray installation and labeling standards. Experience with system testing commissioning and troubleshooting. Familiarity with ELV standards and safety regulations. Preferred Experience with Brands: LenelS2 Milestone Genetec Hikvision Dahua Axis Bosch Honeywell Suprema Gallagher Avigilon Cisco (Basic Networking) CommScope / Panduit Structured Cabling Soft Skills: Good communication skills. Ability to work independently and within a team. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. Willingness to work overtime or at different project locations when required. Responsibilities: Install and terminate ELV systems according to project drawings. Perform testing and commissioning of ELV systems. Troubleshoot and rectify faults during installation and after handover. Coordinate with engineers and project managers. Ensure work complies with company standards and client requirements. Prepare daily work reports and progress updates. Follow all HSE and site safety requirements. Preferred Certifications: UAE Driving License (Preferred) ECS / BICSI Certification (Preferred) Manufacturer Certifications (Lenel Milestone Genetec Hikvision Suprema etc.) are an advantage. This requirement is suitable for recruiting ELV Technicians for security systems companies such as Progress Security Systems and covers the typical technical scope expected in UAE and GCC projects.
