E&I QC Engineer

We are constantly growing and are currently looking for a reliable and highly motivated Electrical QC Engineer to join our top-qualified and knowledgeable Quality team for one of our major projects in Egypt.

What you will need to do:

• Review project technical specifications drawings and BOQs to identify applicable quality criteria engineering requirements and testing requirements related to Electrical and Instrumentation works.
• Assist in the preparation and review of quality documentation including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) Method Statements and inspection procedures.
• Monitor all phases and processes related to Electrical and Instrumentation works including procurement installation testing and commissioning.
• Ensure the proper implementation of approved Method Statements and ITPs and maintain all required quality records.
• Manage and coordinate inspection and testing activities for Electrical and Instrumentation works.
• Monitor the close-out of punch lists and ensure that measuring and testing instruments are properly calibrated.
• Coordinate with third-party testing and inspection agencies as required.
• Identify and follow up on non-conformances raise NCRs when required and monitor corrective actions through close-out.
• Attend and witness Client inspections and testing activities and coordinate the close-out of outstanding quality issues.
• Support quality audits of subcontractors and suppliers and assist in the preparation of final quality documentation and system commissioning.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 36 years of relevant experience in Quality Control of Electrical systems preferably within the construction industry.
• Strong experience in electrical inspection testing installation and commissioning activities.
• Solid knowledge of ITPs Method Statements NCRs quality records and inspection procedures.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable international codes and standards including NEC NFPA IEEE and IEC.
• Good understanding of Electrical and Instrumentation works and relevant testing requirements.
• Strong communication coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Very good command of English.
