01EM0206 Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join ourDigitalServices team. The candidate will serve as the technical backbone of CI/CD operations owning the design deployment and continuous evolution of a large-scaleCI/CDin a complex multi-environment setup.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Design deploy andmaintainJenkins controller and distributed agent architectures for high availability.
• Author andmaintainpipeline-as-code (Declarative and Scripted Groovy) and shared libraries.
• Lead plugin lifecycle management: evaluate approve patch and retire plugins in line with security standards.
• Perform capacity planning performance tuning and resourceoptimizationacross all Jenkins instances.
• Design andmaintainbackup and disaster recovery procedures; conduct regular failover drills (RTO/RPO adherence).
• Provide 3rd-level incidentsupport;perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes within agreed SLAs.
• Integrate Jenkins with cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP) and on-premises environments via hybrid connectivity.
• Collaborate with platform engineering and customer internal teams on roadmap features and improvements.
• Document architecture decisions runbooks and change records in theteamknowledge base.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and support knowledge transfer across the team.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in computer science Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in DevOps / CI/CD engineering in enterprise-scale environments.
• Expert-level Jenkins administration: controller clustering agents Kubernetes executors.
• Proficient in Groovy (Jenkins shared libraries) and shell scripting (Bash / Python).
• Hands-on experience with container platforms: Docker Kubernetes Helm.
• Cloud experience across at least one major provider (AWS Azure or GCP).
• Solid understanding of Git workflows branching strategies and code-review pipelines.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform Ansible or equivalent).
• ITIL awareness for incident and change management processes.
• Jenkins Certified Engineer (JCE) preferred.
• Kubernetes Administrator (CKA / CKAD) desirable.
• Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect / Azure DevOps Engineer) desirable.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of English (written and verbal) is mandatory. German language skills are strongly recommended and will be considered a significant advantage.
