Our Service Department needs to expand its team with the addition of experienced technicians. CAREER DESCRIPTION Title: Marine Gasoline and/or Diesel, Inboard/Outboard Engine and Generator Mechanic Start Date: ASAP Location: Orange County California (Costa Mesa) Preferred Experience: 3+ years of experience in a marine mechanic role Compensation: Ranges from $20 to $50 per hour, commensurate with experience Purpose and Scope A Marine Engine and Generator Mechanic services, repairs, and installs marine engines, generators, transmissions, sterndrives, waterjets, and related equipment in vessels. Work is performed in our shop and in the field. Extensive product-specific training is provided, with exposure to many interesting and sometimes complex applications. Experience is required and you must have your own tools. A service vehicle is provided and business-related expenses are reimbursed. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Under the direction of experienced and highly qualified team members you will: · Independently repair and service the products Boatswain's Locker represents · Diagnose and repair sometimes complex problems · Properly utilize technical information as well as installation and application guidelines · Independently install and test equipment on vessels in compliance with factory specifications · Provide technical support in a professional and timely manner · Work in a team environment · Travel as needed both domestically and internationally · Attend service and product training as required (paid for by the Company) · Configure and recommend equipment as per customer requests · Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization · Exemplify the Company’s Core Values at all times and in all situations MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES The ideal candidate will have the following: · Min. three (3) years of experience servicing and repairing gasoline and/or diesel inboard marine engines, generators, outboards, sterndrives, waterjets, transmissions, and related systems · Computer knowledge and experience with engine diagnostic software · Current professional technical factory certifications with name-brand marine engine products · Strong customer service skills · Must have a valid California driver’s license (a valid US Passport is optional but recommended) BENEFITS: Full menu of Benefits, from Health Care to Paid Time Off to Profit Sharing MORE INFORMATION: Call Audrey @ 949-999-3026 or Email:
