Service Writer Associate

Purpose and Scope:
Service Writer this role you will report directly to the Service Manager Compensation: Range of compensation: $25 - $28 per hour depending on experience and skills. Benefits: Full menu of Benefits from Health Care to Profit Sharing Location: Costa Mesa California

Major Duties and Responsibilities: To continue our tradition of excellence you will join your team in performing the following tasks
Provide excellent customer service from initial customer contact through to the release of vessel and perform any additional follow-up
Listen carefully to customer descriptions repair requests/needs and relay them to technicians who will assess options for the best repair plan
Advise the customer on the vessel repairs that we recommend and offer a pricing quote
Communicate with our Parts Department and technicians to make sure everything is on hand
Provide updates to customers as their work is in progress and once completed
Answer detailed questions about services performed and price information
Maintain customer records by keeping all files organized
Schedule appointments over the phone Minimum Required Skills and Competencies: The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
Commitment to excellence organization and high standards.
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and other software systems.
Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
Acute attention to detail.
Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written).
Understanding of marine mechanics and the ability to identify appropriate repairs
Ability to break down complicated vessel/marine topics for customer understanding
Ability to stand walk sit and lift up to 25 pounds
Have a teamwork mindset in the workplace and accept feedback on your work
Ability to multitask work in high-stress settings and work closely with others to achieve excellent customer experience
Valid forklift license.
Must have valid drivers license.
