The individual in this role will be responsible for the management of outstanding debtors and communications with regards to credit control. The Credit Control team currently consists of a Revenue Manager and a working Capital Assistant. The team works very closely with the clients Partners lawyers and the billing team to ensure timely collections of the firms invoices.
Key Responsibilities
You will meet with partners and other lawyers on a regular basis to discuss collection issues.
You will liaise directly with clients and develop relationships with stakeholders in key client organisations to facilitate the collection process.
You will manage outstanding debtors (international and national contacts) by:
You will look for opportunities to improve collection processes and implement best practice.
You will have responsibility for understanding the receipting of funds in a timely and accurate manner to ensure our debt ledgers reflect the correct balances.
You will manage the cash receipt reconciliation for unidentified payment and work with the Working Capital team to resolve unapplied cash.
You will be expected to work closely with our network with respect to the activities that they perform on our behalf currently also to identify suitable tasks that can be improved or transition in the future.
You will also support any of the Billing Team members being away or during busy billing peaks.
