Job Purpose:
To manage credit control processes recover outstanding debts perform credit risk assessments and ensure timely settlement of payments. The role involves proactive communication with customers and internal teams to resolve billing issues and improve cash flow.
Key Responsibilities:
Credit Risk Assessment:
- Conduct background checks on credit applicants and customers.
- Verify credit applications and analyze financial standing and payment history.
Debt Recovery & Payment Follow-up:
- Monitor aging reports and identify problematic accounts.
- Follow up regularly with customers to ensure timely payments.
- Communicate billing details and resolve disputes or issues with the support of relevant internal teams.
Statement & Reconciliation Management:
- Send statements to customers and internal offices on schedule.
- Perform reconciliations and maintain accurate account balances.
Dispute Resolution:
- Engage customers to address outstanding invoices or shortfalls.
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve disputes or discrepancies quickly.
Settlement Management:
- Negotiate and compute agreed settlements including currency conversion when needed.
- Provide clear and timely payment instructions to customers to ensure swift account updates.
Requirements:
- Diploma or equivalent qualification preferred. Candidates with relevant experience may also be considered.
- Prior experience in credit control accounts receivable or customer finance roles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with finance or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); Mandarin is a plus for customer communication.
