About this job:
QSourcing Tanzania Limited is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Tanzania Uganda Kenya Rwanda and South Sudan.
On behalf of our Tanzania based client we are looking for a competent and experienced Accountant.
POSITION IN THE ORGANISATION:

Department: Finance
MISSION AND JOB DIMENSION:
We are looking for a detailoriented and dependable Accountant to manage financial records support reporting processes and ensure full compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in accounting software the Tanzanian tax system and bankrelated processes especially in vehicle loan applications. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining financial transparency and supporting both internal and external stakeholders.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ACTIVITIES
Maintain uptodate general ledgers and journals.
Generate and track invoices; follow up on receivables and ensure timely collections.
Reconcile customer balances and maintain clear financial records.
Monitor cash flows assist in preparing fund requests and manage petty cash.
Support bankrelated activities including applications for car loans and fund transfers.
Prepare and file tax returns (e.g. VAT PAYE SDL WHT etc. in compliance with Tanzanian regulations.
Stay updated on any changes in local tax laws and ensure timely submissions.
Generate monthly quarterly and annual financial reports.
Assist with both internal and external audits ensuring proper documentation and responses.
Perform any other financial tasks or special assignments as instructed by the leadership.
Requirements
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
2 3 years of handson accounting experience experience in a manufacturing or sales company is preferred.
CPA (T) certification or having passed CPA accounting and tax law courses is a strong advantage.
Proficient in accounting software such as Tally QuickBooks Sage or any ERP systems.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel including data analysis reporting and reconciliation.
Familiarity with the bank loan application process particularly car loans is desirable.
Strong knowledge of the Tanzanian tax declaration process.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple financial documents.
Strong communication skills in English able to coordinate both internally and externally.
Trustworthy deadlineoriented and a strong team player.

ADDED ADVANTAGE:
Prior involvement in financial forecasting or budgeting
Working knowledge of supply chain or inventory accounting
