Job Summary
A Radiologist is a highly skilled medical specialist responsible for diagnosing and interpreting medical images to detect monitor and treat various diseases and injuries. The Radiologist provides accurate assessments to assist in clinical decisionmaking using advanced imaging techniques such as Xrays CT scans MRIs ultrasound fluoroscopy and nuclear medicine. The role requires collaboration with physicians surgeons and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive patient management plans. The ideal candidate should have expertise in diagnostic and interventional radiology a strong commitment to patient safety and proficiency in the latest imaging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze radiographic MRI CT ultrasound and nuclear medicine images to diagnose medical conditions.
- Provide accurate and timely radiology reports to referring physicians and specialists.
- Conduct imageguided procedures including biopsies drain placements and minimally invasive treatments when required.
- Consult with physicians oncologists surgeons and other specialists to assist in treatment planning.
- Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety guidelines to protect patients and healthcare staff.
- Monitor the effectiveness of radiologic procedures and recommend additional imaging when necessary.
- Utilize PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and RIS (Radiology Information System) for efficient data management and reporting.
- Stay updated with advancements in AIassisted imaging interventional techniques and emerging radiology technologies.
- Participate in teaching mentoring and research activities within the radiology department.
- Maintain compliance with hospital protocols medical licensing requirements and accreditation standards.
Qualifications & Skills Required
Education & Certifications:
- Medical Degree (MBBS MD or equivalent).
- Board Certification / Fellowship in Radiology.
- Specialization in Diagnostic Radiology Interventional Radiology Neuroradiology or Musculoskeletal Imaging is preferred.
- Valid medical license (DHA/MOH/HAAD in the UAE or equivalent).
Technical & Clinical Skills:
- Expertise in interpreting crosssectional imaging (MRI CT PETCT).
- Proficiency in ultrasound and fluoroscopybased diagnostic techniques.
- Experience in imageguided interventional procedures (if applicable).
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and dose optimization.
- Familiarity with PACS RIS and AIbased diagnostic tools.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Radiologist in a hospital imaging center or specialized radiology practice.
- Experience in handling highvolume diagnostic cases and working in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Prior experience in academic or researchbased radiology is an advantage.
