Job Summary

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle from identifying needs and sourcing suppliers to negotiating contracts and finalizing purchases.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify cost-effective solutions and ensure the best value for money for educational materials and equipment.
  • Prepare review and process purchase orders ensuring all transactions adhere to organizational policies and financial regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities including contracts invoices and delivery notes to facilitate smooth audits and reporting.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their specific requirements and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage vendor relationships to ensure reliability and quality of supply.
  • Analyze spending trends and prepare reports to support strategic decision-making and budget planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local laws and regulations governing procurement in the education sector.


Requirements
  • Proven work experience in procurement supply chain management or a related field with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles practices and procedures particularly within the education industry.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis and reporting.
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards with a commitment to transparency and accountability.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Valid drivers license and willingness to travel within Gwanda and surrounding areas as required.
