Job Summary
- Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle from identifying needs and sourcing suppliers to negotiating contracts and finalizing purchases.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify cost-effective solutions and ensure the best value for money for educational materials and equipment.
- Prepare review and process purchase orders ensuring all transactions adhere to organizational policies and financial regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities including contracts invoices and delivery notes to facilitate smooth audits and reporting.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their specific requirements and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Monitor supplier performance and manage vendor relationships to ensure reliability and quality of supply.
- Analyze spending trends and prepare reports to support strategic decision-making and budget planning.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local laws and regulations governing procurement in the education sector.
Requirements
- Proven work experience in procurement supply chain management or a related field with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles practices and procedures particularly within the education industry.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis and reporting.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards with a commitment to transparency and accountability.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel within Gwanda and surrounding areas as required.
