Job Summary
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records budgets and reports in compliance with donor and organizational standards.
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to approved budgets and grant agreements.
- Support the preparation of financial statements audit documentation and donor reporting.
- Collaborate with program teams to provide financial guidance and ensure project compliance.
- Manage relationships with institutional donors and respond to audit and compliance inquiries.
- Utilize accounting systems and Excel to streamline financial processes and improve data accuracy.
- Identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions to maintain fiscal responsibility.
Requirements
-Degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
-Part-qualified or professional accounting qualification (ACCA CIMA CPA) is an added advantage.
-Minimum three (3) years experience in NGO finance grants management or donor compliance.
-Experience working with institutional donors and donor-funded projects.
-Knowledge of project accounting budgeting financial reporting and compliance systems.
-Strong analytical organisational and communication skills.
-High level of integrity attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
-Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java C or Python Experience with software development tools and methodologies Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Good communication and teamwork abilities
