Job Summary

Our client within the heavy lifting industry is seeking a dynamic and organised Logistics / Sales Officer to coordinate bookings manage fleet scheduling and support business development activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient deployment of equipment and operators while maintaining strong customer relationships and supporting revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Operations Coordination
  • Coordinate daily bookings dispatch schedules and site allocations
  • Liaise with clients regarding lifting requirements site access and job scheduling
  • Plan and optimise equipment movements and operator allocations to maximise fleet utilisation
  • Ensure all necessary permits delivery notes job cards and operational documentation are prepared and completed
  • Monitor job progress and communicate any delays or operational issues to clients and management
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules and downtime with the workshop and operations teams
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment movements fuel usage hours worked and job completion reports
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards company procedures and transport regulations
  • Assist with route planning and logistical coordination for equipment transportation
Sales & Customer Service
  • Respond to client enquiries and prepare quotations for hire services
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors construction companies mining clients and other stakeholders
  • Follow up on quotations and support conversion of enquiries into confirmed bookings
  • Identify new business opportunities and support sales growth initiatives
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity reports
  • Support debtors follow-ups and ensure timely invoicing after job completion
  • Provide professional after-sales support and address customer concerns promptly
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics Transport Business Administration Sales or related field
  • Minimum of 2 3 years experience in logistics coordination transport operations or sales administration
  • Experience within the construction transport or plant hire industry would be a strong advantage
  • Strong understanding of scheduling and fleet coordination
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Valid drivers licence preferred
