Job Summary

Our client in the agricultural sector is seeking a Junior Irrigation Design Engineer to join their growing team. This opportunity is ideal for a young and ambitious engineer with a background in Civil Mechanical or Irrigation Engineering who is eager to develop a career in irrigation design.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the design and development of irrigation systems for agricultural projects.
  • Conduct site visits surveys and assessments to gather project data.
  • Support the preparation of irrigation layouts technical drawings and system specifications.
  • Perform land surveys and collect topographical information for project planning.
  • Assist with hydraulic calculations and system sizing.
  • Prepare project documentation bills of quantities and material specifications.
  • Support project implementation commissioning and troubleshooting activities.
  • Liaise with clients contractors suppliers and internal teams as required.
  • Ensure designs comply with industry standards and best practices.
  • Travel regularly to project sites throughout the country.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Irrigation Engineering Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience in land surveying and site measurements is essential.
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems and hydraulic principles is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software would be beneficial.
  • Valid drivers licence preferred.
  • Willingness to travel.
