Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a structured compliant and high-performing HR function across the business. The role will lead the design implementation and continuous improvement of HR policies procedures Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices to ensure consistency legal compliance and operational successful candidate will partner with leadership to strengthen organisational capability improve employee engagement drive performance management and establish robust HR governance frameworks that support the companys strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:
HR Strategy & Governance
- Develop and implement the companys HR strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive HR policies procedures SOPs and employee guidelines.
- Review and update HR documentation to ensure compliance with labour legislation and industry best practices.
- Develop HR governance frameworks reporting standards and compliance processes.
- Advise management on HR risks legal requirements and employment matters.
Policy Development & Implementation
- Design document and roll out HR policies covering all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
- Develop SOPs for recruitment onboarding performance management disciplinary processes leave management training succession planning and employee exits.
- Ensure policies are effectively communicated and consistently applied throughout the organisation.
- Conduct regular policy reviews and recommend improvements where necessary.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes.
- Develop workforce planning strategies to meet current and future business needs.
- Build strong recruitment processes interview guides competency frameworks and assessment tools.
- Support departmental managers with recruitment planning and hiring decisions.
Performance Management
- Design and implement a structured performance management system.
- Develop KPIs appraisal frameworks and performance improvement processes.
- Coach managers on conducting performance reviews and managing employee development.
- Monitor organisational performance trends and recommend interventions.
Learning & Development
- Identify organisational training needs.
- Develop annual training plans and skills development initiatives.
- Coordinate leadership development and succession planning programmes.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and return on investment.
Employee Relations
- Foster a positive workplace culture built on accountability collaboration and respect.
- Manage disciplinary hearings grievance procedures investigations and conflict resolution.
- Provide guidance to managers on employee relations matters.
- Promote employee engagement and retention initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits
- Administer remuneration structures and employee benefits.
- Conduct salary benchmarking and recommend market-aligned remuneration strategies.
- Support payroll processes and ensure HR records are accurate.
HR Administration & Compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR information systems.
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation employment contracts statutory requirements and company policies.
- Prepare HR reports dashboards and workforce analytics for management.
- Lead HR audits and ensure all documentation is current and compliant.
Change Management & Continuous Improvement
- Drive organisational change initiatives and process improvements.
- Standardise HR processes across all departments.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through structured systems and documentation.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

- Experience establishing or transforming HR functions within a growing organisation.
- Strong knowledge of labour legislation and employment best practices.
- Experience supporting organisational change and business transformation initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management Industrial Psychology Business Administration or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualification or HR certification (IPMZ SHRM CIPD or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
