Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Group Finance Director to provide strategic and operational financial leadership across a diversified group of businesses.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Groups financial performance ensuring sound financial management strengthening governance and compliance supporting business growth and providing strategic guidance to senior leadership.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic financial leadership and support to executive management and shareholders.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate monthly quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Lead the Group budgeting forecasting and financial planning processes.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory regulatory taxation and financial reporting requirements.
  • Develop implement and maintain effective financial controls policies and procedures.
  • Manage cash flow working capital and treasury functions across the Group.
  • Oversee relationships with banks auditors regulatory authorities and other key stakeholders.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities capital projects acquisitions and business expansion initiatives.
  • Identify financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Provide financial analysis and commercial insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead and develop finance teams across the Group ensuring high levels of performance and accountability.
  • Oversee the annual audit process and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Drive continuous improvement of financial systems processes and reporting capabilities.
  • Support business units in achieving operational and financial objectives.
  • Review and approve significant financial transactions and expenditure.
  • Present financial reports and recommendations to directors and senior management.
  • Undertake regular travel to business operations and sites as required.
  • Ensure the Group maintains strong corporate governance standards.
  • Perform any other duties reasonably required within the scope of the role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance Commerce Economics or a related field.
  • Professional qualification such as CA ACCA CIMA CPA or equivalent.
  • Significant senior finance leadership experience within a multi-entity or group environment.
  • Proven experience in financial planning reporting compliance treasury and risk management.
  • Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel regularly.
