Job Summary
The Finance Director is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership ensuring sound financial management governance compliance and business performance across the organization. The role oversees all finance functions including financial planning and analysis budgeting reporting treasury taxation risk management and ERP systems management. The Finance Director will partner with executive leadership to drive business growth profitability and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and implement the companys financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Executive Team and Board.
- Support business growth initiatives investments acquisitions and expansion projects.
- Lead long-term financial planning and forecasting activities.
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely accurate and compliant financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
- Develop and maintain robust financial controls and reporting systems.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasting exercises.
- Monitor departmental budgets and ensure effective cost management.
- Provide financial modelling and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management
- Manage cash flow working capital banking relationships and funding requirements.
- Oversee foreign currency management and liquidity planning.
- Ensure optimal utilization of financial resources.
ERP Systems & Process Improvement
- Lead the implementation optimization and ongoing management of ERP systems.
- Drive automation process improvements and digital transformation initiatives within the finance function.
- Ensure data integrity system controls and effective reporting capabilities.
- Collaborate with IT and operational teams to maximize ERP system efficiencies.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulatory tax and corporate governance requirements.
- Develop and maintain effective internal control frameworks.
- Manage external audits tax audits and regulatory reviews.
- Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead mentor and develop the finance team.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with operational and commercial departments.
Stakeholder Management
- Maintain relationships with banks auditors regulators investors and key external stakeholders.
- Present financial reports and business performance updates to senior leadership and the Board.
Key Skills:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
- Experience managing multi-functional finance operations.
- Proven experience with ERP systems implementation and optimization.
- Experience in strategic financial planning corporate finance budgeting and financial analysis.
- Experience working within a large corporate manufacturing FMCG mining distribution or similar environment preferred.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant qualification (CA ACCA CIMA or equivalent professional accounting qualification).
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance Commerce or related field.
- MBA or Masters Degree in Finance or Business Administration would be advantageous.
