Job Summary
Our client is looking for a Deli Supervisor in Bulawayo to join their team.
Salary and Benefits:
- USD 750 Gross
Responsibilities:
- Processing Payments and handling cash accurately and efficiently. Handle cash cards card payments and operate cash register
- Responding to questions about products and prices and give recommendations
- Meet sales targets and promote deli products
- Responsible for upselling suggestive selling and cross selling of all products
- Handling customer complaints
- Keeping the counters clean and tidy
- Taking orders and preparing simple items
- Managing inventory records ensuring accuracy and up to date stock levels
- Conducting regular stock takes cycle counts and reconciliations
- Monitoring stock movements handle adjustments and investigate discrepancies
- Monitoring stock levels and forecasting demand
- Coordinating with procurement warehouse sales team and logistics team for stock replenishments and forecasting.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures
- Identify and address stock losses damages or slow-moving items
- Keep updated inventory records (including daily shipments)
Key Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic maths skills and accuracy with cash handling
- Excellent product knowledge
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in inventory management systems (IQ)
- Basic computer skills (MS Word Excel etc)
Qualification:
- No formal qualification required: Previous retail/cash handling experience is an added advantage
- Food Safety certification eg Food handlers certificate
