Job Summary
Our client is looking for a Control Room Operator to join their dynamic team
The purpose of the role is to pIan and implement the efficient & cost-effective industrial conversion of raw materials into stock feed products to meet the minimum specifications and to ensure full compliance with the standard operating procedures of the installed machines and processes.

Responsibilities:
1. Milling and Processing
- Operates and monitors the plant machinery using the plant Scada system on a shift basis.
- Receives daily production requirements from the Production Manager and schedules production efficiently on the production scheduler.
- Prepares production raw material requirements and places orders from the Raw Material Warehouse.
- Organizes and arranges raw material intakes according to raw material plan.
- Runs and operates production from intakes silos hammermills proportioning bins batching mixing pelleting extrusion to packing.
- Checks quality of final product against set quality parameters and conducts root cause analysis for non-conformity.
- Monitors the condition of the plant during production process and liaises with Production Manager and Workshop Foreman on potential breakdowns and malfunction.
- Raises job cards to the Workshop Foreman on breakdowns and repairs and communicates to the Production Manager.
- Maintains documentation for the production process.
- Advises respective plant operators and machine minders on any challenges incurred during production.
2. Safety Health Environment and Quality
- Monitors adherence to procedures in line with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001)
- Monitors adherence to SHE procedures
- Controls and maintains required housekeeping procedures
- Participates in monthly safety meetings
3. Staff Supervision
- Plans and supervises the daily milling duties for the shift in line with set targets.
- Evaluates staff identifies performance strengths and deficiencies and arranges for necessary action (for example further on the j0b training).
- Convenes daily invocoms cascading information and mill shift challenges and possible solutions.
- Identifies disciplinary problems or issues and arranges for the necessary disciplinary action in line with Human Resources Policies and Procedures.

- Ability to plan and organise in line with job requirements
- Ability to analyse and solve work related problems to achieve the correct outcomes
- Ability to interact negotiate (where applicable) and achieve targets
Key Qualifications:
- Diploma in Engineering Technical or equivalent
- 2 - 4 years experience in Manufacturing milling or similar environment.
