Job Summary
- Execute comprehensive bookkeeping tasks and apply core accounting principles to maintain financial integrity.
- Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely processing and accuracy.
- Prepare and review tax documentation leveraging strong knowledge of tax regulations and requirements.
- Conduct regular financial reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills and accounting software (such as Sage) to generate reports and manage data efficiently.
- Organize and prioritize daily tasks to meet deadlines while working both autonomously and collaboratively within the team.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in all financial documentation.
Diploma or Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
Applicants currently studying at university must be in their final year.
Final-year students must submit their latest academic record together with their application and must have a flexible study schedule preferably distance learning.
12 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
Strong tax knowledge and skills
Knowledge of reconciliations accounts payable and accounts receivable
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge of accounting software such as Sage will be an added advantage
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Good organisational and time-management skills
Ability to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java C or Python Experience with software development tools and methodologies Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Good communication and teamwork abilities
