Our client in the human resources industry is looking for a highly experienced and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead and manage all human resource functions within a dynamic operational environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the organization attracts develops motivates and retains a productive workforce while maintaining strong industrial relations compliance and alignment with business objectives.
JOB PURPOSEThe Human Resources Manager will oversee all HR operations providing strategic leadership and operational support to drive organizational performance. The role focuses on employee relations union engagement compliance with labour laws talent management and delivering insightful human capital reporting to senior management and investors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Human Resource Strategy and Leadership-
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with overall business objectives.

Lead HR transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Act as the primary liaison between management and employee unions.

Represent the organization in labour consultations and industrial relations forums.

Ensure compliance with labour legislation and collective agreements.

Develop strategies to maintain workplace harmony and minimize industrial unrest.

Oversee recruitment and selection processes across all levels.

Develop talent acquisition strategies to attract high-quality candidates.

Coordinate onboarding and induction programs.

Identify high-potential employees and implement succession plans.

Manage performance appraisal systems and career development initiatives.

Conduct training needs assessments across departments.

Develop and implement annual training plans and budgets.

Coordinate leadership technical and compliance training programs.

Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness.

Develop and maintain competitive compensation structures.

Oversee payroll processes employee benefits and incentive programs.

Conduct salary benchmarking and market surveys.

Ensure equitable and consistent application of compensation policies.

Promote a positive workplace culture based on fairness and accountability.

Address employee concerns and recommend appropriate interventions.

Coordinate employee welfare and wellness programs.

Support diversity inclusion and equal opportunity initiatives.

Develop and oversee performance management systems.

Guide managers on performance planning and appraisals.

Present HR insights and trends to executive leadership.

Support due diligence processes and ESG reporting requirements.

Promote and support a safe working environment.

Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Support incident investigations and corrective actions.

Drive employee wellness and mental health initiatives.

Oversee the operation of staff catering services.

Ensure food quality hygiene and safety standards are maintained.

Manage canteen budgets and service providers.

Monitor employee satisfaction and implement improvements.

Coordinate work permits visas and immigration requirements.

Liaise with relevant authorities and service providers.

Maintain accurate expatriate records and compliance tracking.

Support onboarding relocation and integration of expatriate staff.

Advise management on expatriate policies and localization strategies.

Oversee employee accommodation transport and welfare services.

Coordinate staff events recognition programs and corporate activities.

Manage workplace facilities and service contracts.

Full Grade Twelve Certificate.

Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management Industrial Psychology Business Administration or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years progressive HR experience with at least 3 5 years in a managerial role.

Experience in manufacturing agro-processing or industrial environments is preferred.

Proven experience in union management and collective bargaining.

Experience in preparing management and investor reports.

Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices.
