Lead Animator

As the Lead Animator you will drive the efficiency work quality and skills expansion of the Animation team in close collaboration with the Project Manager and the wider Core Team. 

You will define and uphold the visual style of character movements cinematics and gameplay animations and safeguard animation quality by mentoring team members and reviewing final deliverables. Through fostering a culture of growth and high performance you will help deliver engaging high-quality game experiences on one of Ubisofts titles. 

Responsibilities: 

• Oversee the production and delivery of the projects animation and artistic direction alongside the Project Manager 
• Plan assign and track the animation teams daily tasks to ensure on-time on-budget and on-spec delivery 
• Being hands-on with animations playing a key role in the creation of high-quality assets that bring immersive authentic worlds to life
• Mentor and provide ongoing feedback to animation team members on performance and development
• Identify and solve creative technical and workflow challenges communicating effectively across teams
• Collaborate with the Animation Director to verify in-game animation quality consistency and iterate according to feedback
• Help establish and maintain clear pipelines and quality standards

Qualifications :

• Senior or Lead-level animation experience in the games industry 
• Strong artistic skills with mastery of body mechanics and animation fundamentals 
• Proficiency in 3D animation software (MotionBuilder Maya) 
• Advanced knowledge of character rigging skinning and motion capture techniques
• Ability to learn game engine tools and pipelines quickly
• Attention to detail for both aesthetic and technical quality
• Versatility responsiveness and initiative
• Strong people management experience and outstanding team spirit
• Great communication skills (English and Vietnamese)
• Genuine passion for games and ability to analyze them critically
• AAA shipping experience on consoles (a plus)
