Job Title: Young Dancer Instructor (Ages 2-6)

Description: The YMCA of Greater St Petersburgs Dance Academy is looking for qualified reliable dance instructors for young dancer classes in ballet tap & hip hop for beginner levels for our growing dance program. Y Dance Academy (YDA) is a large non-profit dance program offering classes in all genres including an award winning competition team technique classes and a large end of year performance for all students. Students have the option of pursuing dance competitively or as a recreational passion.

We will be creating the schedule for next season based on availability including days/times/locations.

Requirements:

• Instructors must have previous experience teaching a variety of dance genres to all age levels.
• References are required and videos of past work preferred.
• Part-time schedule with afternoon availability during the week. Program day/time may be flexible around candidates schedules.
• All instructors teach technique classes as well as choreograph for the end of year performance.

• Must be able to work independently have excellent relationship building skills and a passion for teaching dance in a great work atmosphere.
• Pass a 10-panel urinalysis drug screen
• Clear a Level 2 background check*

Locations: The candidate will work at one of YMCA Greater St. Petersburg locations depending on schedule
