Job Description
Key Responsibilities May Include:
Trailer Movement & Yard Maintenance
- Safely operate spotter trucks to move trailers to and from dock doors loading areas and storage locations within the yard hooking and unhooking trailers
- Keep the yard clean and organized ensuring that trailers are parked in designated areas and that there is a clear path for movement
Safety Compliance & Inspection
- Follow all CHEP and regulatory safety procedures including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to traffic laws within the yard.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of yard trucks and trailers to ensure they are in safe operating condition reporting any defects or maintenance needs.
Documentation & Coordination
- Maintain accurate records of trailer movements including the location time and any issues encountered.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff loaders and Shipping and receiving clerks to ensure trailers are in the correct locations at the right times
Other Duties as Assigned
- Perform additional tasks as directed by management.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 78lbs
- Push/Pull items with a maximum force of 34 lbs/feet
Qualifications
- If you have warehouse experience a strong work ethic and the ability to sweat through 8-hours of fast-paced shift a Yard Driver position with CHEP could be a great fit!
- Candidates will have at least six months of yard driver experience in a vehicle of similar size and weight
- Proficiency in backing trailers into dock doors and parking slips

We are seeking a Yard Driver to join our Wilmington MA team. If you have warehouse experience a strong work ethic and the ability to sweat through 8-hours of fast-paced shift a Yard Driver position with CHEP could be a great fit!

Candidates will have at least six months of yard driver experience in a vehicle of similar size and weight. Proficiency in backing trailers into dock doors and parking slips. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have a valid drivers
Climb in and out of the spotter truck numerous times per day hooking and unhooking trailers
PREFERRED SKILLS
Commercial driving experience
OTHER DUTIES
