Role Overview

A regional chemical tanker fleet based out of St. Louis MO is hiring experienced CDL-A drivers for liquid bulk and general chemical freight operations throughout the Midwest. This is a high-mileage regional opportunity offering strong earning potential hazmat premium pay modern equipment and dedicated freight lanes.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a CDL-A tractor-trailer hauling liquid bulk and chemical freight
• Load and unload tanker freight according to safety standards
• Maintain DOT compliance and hazmat regulations
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Communicate professionally with dispatch and operations teams
• Safely manage long regional routes and customer deliveries
• Follow all tanker and chemical handling procedures

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license required
• Tanker endorsement required
• Hazmat endorsement required
• TWIC card required
• Valid passport preferred
• Minimum 6 months previous liquid tanker experience preferred
• OR 24 months recent verifiable tractor-trailer experience required
• Ability to safely handle liquid bulk freight
• Must live within hiring area requirements
• No pets or passengers permitted

• Within 35-70 miles of St. Louis MO
• Within 35-70 miles of Kansas City MO
• May also consider qualified drivers from:

  • Memphis TN

Compensation & Benefits

• Average weekly pay: $1200-$1800 gross
• Average weekly miles: 2200-2500
• CPM pay based on verified experience
• Additional pay for loading and unloading events
• Hazmat-certified premium pay available
• Utilization incentive available after 1600 miles weekly
• Orientation pay provided
• Detention pay available
• Referral bonus: $1500 total payout

Schedule & Home Time

• Regional operation
• Typical schedule is 7-10 days out
• Some routes may extend up to 14 days
• 34-hour reset completed at home

• 2019 and newer Mack Volvo and International trucks
• Automatic and manual transmission trucks available
• Governed at 65 mph pedal / 68 mph cruise
• Secure OPS-approved parking locations
