Position Summary:

The Wireline Operator at Flying A Wireline is responsible for operating wireline equipment to lower tools instruments or cables down a wellbore to gather data or perform well intervention services. The Wireline Operator plays a key role in the safe efficient and effective operation of wireline services to support well drilling completion or production operations.

Key Roles / Responsibilities:

• Set up operate and maintain wireline trucks and other necessary equipment to conduct wireline operations.
• Lower tools or other devices into wells using wireline equipment ensuring accurate placement and retrieval.
• Collect downhole data such as well logs using wireline tools ensuring the accuracy and quality of the information.
• Assist with well interventions including perforating pipe recovery setting plugs and other related tasks.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of wireline units pressure control equipment and other tools to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
• Adhere to company and industry safety policies and procedures and ensure all equipment is operated in compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of wireline operations including logs tool status and service reports.
• Work closely with supervisors engineers and other field personnel to ensure operations meet client objectives and expectations.
• Support other team members in the field to ensure smooth and efficient operations including providing assistance to the Lead Wireline Operator or Field Supervisor.

Required Education Experience and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in wireline operations preferred but on-the-job training may be provided.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of downhole tools.
• Ability to work under pressure in challenging and remote environments.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• CDL (Commercial Drivers License) required.
• Well Control Certification (optional but beneficial).

Working Conditions:

• Bending lifting climbing pushing pulling kneeling sitting stand walk kneel stoop squat pull push climb crouch crawl talk hear and see and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time.
• The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting and carrying.
• Must be able to position oneself to work in confined spaces such as trenches pits manholes attics and tunnels and demonstrate manual dexterity and be able to use hands to handle or feel objects tools or controls.
• Exposure to moderate noise levels vibrations and bright lights; and exposure to dust fumes and gases; and all climate types including hot and cold temperatures humidity rain snow etc.
• Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes glasses gloves hearing protection and hard hats when needed.
• React quickly using hands fingers or feet.
• Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
• Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.
• Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
• Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
