Water Project Supervisor

Clean Harborsis seeking aWater Project Supervisorto add to ourWater Project Team located in Bridgeport NJ.TheWater Supervisoroperates on site supervising crews of Environmental Technicians as necessary at various water project sites. This position will also be helping with upcoming water construction projects based in New Jersey. This position requires some travel to the CONUS and/or globally as needed.

Pay Range DOE:$26-$30 per HR DOE

Location: Must live near Bridgeport NJ but will require travel as needed.

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;

• Supervises multiple employees on water projects;

• Assures all associated paperwork as required for operations is maintained and submitted immediately after project operations have been completed;

• Ensures that supervised operations staff meets all compliance standards;

• Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment;

• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required;

• Associate or bachelors degree in environmental studies preferred;

• Experience working with water treatment building filtrations systems working in wastewater treatment plants highly preferred;

• 3 years of supervisor experience is preferred;

• Water certifications are a plus;

• Valid and clean drivers license and acceptable MVR;

• Knowledge of RCRA requirements/regulations;

• Understands the manpower and equipment required to complete assignments;

• Demonstrated leadership ability;

• Available for 24 hour on-call basis;

• Strong mechanical ability preferred;

• Knowledge of chemicals preferred;

• Knowledge of Department of Transportation DOT regulations Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) waste codes manifesting and Land Disposal Restrictions (LDR) (preferred);

• All other duties as required by Management.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires pulling/pushing carrying grasping reaching crawling stooping and crouching in confined spaces; Requires walking climbing speaking listening color determination and clarity of vision at 2 feet or more (with or without lenses); Requires sitting for extended the ability to properly wear and use personal respirator equipment and other forms of personal protective equipment (PPE) including levels ABCD & E including full encapsulation PPE suits which can elevate body temperature substantially during strenuous exertion;

• Available for 24/day oncall basis;

• Requires speaking writing and listening in English;

• Position involves strenuous physical standing lifting up to 50lbs.
